Pakistan’s Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has extended an invitation to the England cricket team to play a series in Pakistan. The invitation has proceeded during the meeting with Britain’s High Commissioner Thomas Drew.
As per reports in the Dawn, Iqbal already informed Drew regarding Pakistan’s efforts in making sure that the secured environment is always provided for international players.
Iqbal further stated that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Pakistan and the three-match T20I series against the Windies is a sheer testimony of the efforts made by them to maintain peace in the country.

The federal minister said that Pakistan has been suffering a lot in the recent past. He added that the nation has suffered under the clutches of terrorism and extremism.
Despite saying this he wrote that the sacrifices and efforts to curb terrorism worked wonders with the security situation being relatively stable.
Britain’s High Commissioner meanwhile acknowledged the efforts made by Pakistan against terrorism. He further promised to assist the Pakistani students who are willing to study in Britain.
