The competition will commence from January 23 at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram,

Interestingly, all the matches will take place at the same venue. Whereas, Rahane will lead the 15-member India A squad in first three games. Rahane will lead quality India A side which boasts about the high-quality players in the mix.

The reports suggested distinct squads were picked following a brilliant domestic show.

However, while highlighting the importance of domestic set-up, the selection committee has abstained from choosing players from the teams which went on to qualify for the semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy, the coveted first-class competition.
