Nowadays there is a lot of buzz about a Yasir Jan, fast bowler residing in Pakistan, due to his ability to ball equally well and with the equal speed with both his hands. His bowling video is making rounds in social media; thousands of people are talking about him and sharing his video. He has a special ability resembling that of great ones like Graham Gooch, Hanif Mohammad. Both the veterans could also bowl with both the hands but Yasir Jan, in the current scenario is not the only bowler who possess this special ability. Kamindu Mendis, the Sri Lanka U19 spinner showed this skill at the biggest stage at Under 19 World cup played in Bangladesh earlier during this year.

Very few know that there is one Indian bowler on this list too.

The Vidarbha’s left arm spinner err Right arm spinner, both arm spinner Akshay Karnewar hold the same capability of bowling equally well with both the hands.  He showed his skills during the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2015/16. In a contest against Baroda, Karnewar in the 15th over of the game stunned everyone by bowling with both his hands. He bowled 3 balls with his right hands and 3 balls with left hand. The match was televised on T.V. and everyone who saw him was dumbfounded with his extraordinary skills. Karnewar‘s bowling video went viral and received millions of views.

Soon after this, he was purchased by IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL auction held in the month of February though he did not get a game this season. Probably an IPL game will help to get limelight and attention as it is the best stage where he can show the world his unique ability and capability as IPL is the most watched and celebrated tournament of Indian cricket. The glamour and action associated with the tournament lure public and it is the best stage for a player to shot to fame in no time.

The 23 years old both arm spinner made his List A last year followed by T20 debut.  He is yet to play a first-class game. In 7 List A matches Karnewar has 16 wickets to his name. He has affected 7 wickets in 9 T20’s played by him so far. He is basically an all rounder who provides captain with an extra option but still needs to work on his batting to have a long career. Surely, the upcoming domestic season is the best opportunity for him to tell people about his rare talent and extraordinary skills.
