The Australian cricket fans received rare good news as with Fox Sports deciding to broadcast all games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 edition on Foxtel.
Fox Sports is slated to cover all the matches in HD and LIVE. The announcement was made on Thursday with the help of an official release.
This is the first time in five years the Aussie fans will be able to watch all matches of the high-octane tournament, featuring many Australian internationals and BBL stars.
Further, ardent cricket fans may also sign up Foxtel’s streaming service, Foxtel Now, and be watching all the action in just minutes. Visit http://www.foxsports.com.au/get-fox-sports to sign up for a free two-week trial.
The 11th edition of the IPL will see the return of Chennai Superkings and Rajasthan Royals. IPL’s lung opener is scheduled to be held at Wankhede Stadium between CSK and defending champions Mumbai Indians.
Unfortunately, due to the recent developments in Cape Town, Steve Smith and David Warner have been prohibited to feature in this edition of IPL.
However, the likes of Shane Watson, Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc along with D’Arcy Short, Ben Laughlin, and Billy Stanlake, will all feature in this edition.
Furthermore, the Royals named Heinrich Klaasen as a replacement for Smith, whereas, Kusal Perera replaced David Warner in the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad.
The ban on Smith and Warner turns out to be a major blow the Royals’ and Sunrisers’ as the two key players were retained as well as appointed as captains for the team.
