Former England cricketer Allan Lamb, who has played international cricket for ten years, has named the four batsmen from the current generation, who he would like to pay to watch. Lamb is the South African-born cricketer who represented the England team. He played his debut match in 1982 against India and went on to play 79 Test matches and 122 ODI matches for the Three Lions.

Allan Lamb, who has 4656 Test runs and a tally of 4010 ODI runs to his name, maintained that Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Ben Stokes, and Steve Smith will be the four players whom we would like to watch. He also praised Smith’s unorthodox batting style which has given him more success. Former Australian captain returned to the team after serving a one-year ban because of the ball-tampering saga in Cape Town back in 2018. Though the prolonged break didn’t affect his performance and he was back with the same batting approach.

Lamb also stated that New Zealand captain Virat Kohli and Indian captain Steve Smith are the two fantastic and unbelievable players. At last, he picked up England allrounder Ben Stokes, who played a crucial role during the finals of the World Cup 2019.

“Yeah, you know you give me Kohli, Williamson, and Smith – unbelievable player. I mean, Smith to me, incredible, the eye that guy must have is just incredible. You know he walks across the stumps but when he receives that ball, he adjusts and that’s what makes the difference,” Allan said in the interview with Cricket Addictor

So, he moved just as before the bowler and that’s what you tell everyone keep still at the crease and Smith does it. You know, I’d go and watch Kohli, Smith, Williamson – absolutely fantastic players. I think if Stokes gets to the wicket, I’d be there to watch him. You know, he is an incredible performer.” Allan Lamb stated.

Lamb has featured in 467 first-class matches, and 484 List A fixtures during his incredible domestic career.
