Master Blaster Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who is currently enjoying his leisure time off the cricket field caught up with team India’s batsman Suresh Raina who is preparing himself for the Duleep Trophy. Tendulkar took to his twitter handle and shared the picture in Raina where he gave Raina his best wishes ahead of the Duleep Trophy and also expressed his happiness after meeting the southpaw.

The legend wrote, “Always great catching up with you, @ImRaina! My best wishes for the #DuleepTrophy!. Team India discard Suresh Raina was overwhelmed with Tendulkar’sntweet and didn’t take a long time to respond. He replied by referring to Sachin as his role model and mentor and thanked him for always having the belief in him. Suresh Raina is not in the Team India scheme of things as of now, but a strong performance in the Duleep Trophy might again pave the way for his return. He has made a strong case for himself for a recall in the limited overs side with some magnificent performances I the Indian Premier League and the domestic circuit. He was kept in the stand by’s list for the 2017 Champions Trophy which the Men in Blue lost in the final t arch-rivals Pakistan.

Raina will be eager to break into the national team again and regain his contract back which he lost in the middle of the year. The southpaw played his last international match against England in the T20I format earlier in the year, and his performance was pretty good.

He scored a half-century in one of the matches and also took a stunning catch in the boundary ropes. His last ODI though was way back in 2015 against South Africa, and since then the youngsters have made life very difficult for Raina to make a return.
