Anil Kumble, head coach of Indian Cricket Team, has been asked to submit a report by Committee of Administrators (COA) covering senior, junior and women cricket in totality. Kumble has to submit his findings post the conclusion of the ongoing Test series against Australia.
COA led by Vinod Rai had a detailed chat with the former leg-spinner and assistant coaches R Sridhar and Sanjay Bangar as well.
“It was a very productive meeting and lasted for about 30 minutes. It was an important meeting considering the COA had not formally met with the players and support staff.
“Kumble was quite receptive to the ideas floated and has been asked to submit a detailed report covering senior, junior and women’s cricket after the current series against Australia,” a source said.
COA also had a meeting regarding the central contract of the Indian players, in which they also discussed the salary of Indian support staff, who recently denied a hike of 25%, claiming that they were proposed a hike 100% by the previous administration.
Vinod Rai also had a detailed chat with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Venkatesh prasad, the chairman of the junior selection committee. The second meeting of the COA is due to take place on March 17 in New Delhi.
