Want to be a professional cricketer?
The 17th of October is an important day in the calendar of Indian cricket as it represents the birthday of one of the best players to have ever played for the country.
The current coach of the national side, Anil Kumble, is celebrating his 46th Birthday today and the Indian national team made sure that they gave him an early gift last night when they swept past New Zealand at the Dharamshala in the first ODI of the 5 match series with the Black Caps.
The Bangalore boy received wishes from everyone around the cricketing circle with some remembering the best moments that he has provided to Indian cricket over the years.
However, continuing his recent trend of entertaining off the pitch, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was quick to build a limerick to wish his former teammate on his birthday.
The Delhi batsmen have refused to be out of the game as he constantly keeps his social media account twitter updated with the happenings around the world not just in the sport.
He took this chance to wish Jumbo a happy birthday and tweeted, “In life don’t be a Dumbo, Be like JUMBO. Kumble doesn’t do any Jumle. K-U-M-B-L-E is very HUMBLE. Happy Birthday @anilkumble1074 ji.”

Not surprisingly, his tweet caught the eye of the fans on the site who have vigorously retweeted it and made it popular on the eve of Kumble’s Birthday.
There is no doubt that the Indian coach enjoyed his wishes.
Kumble recently spoke at a press conference about Sehwag and his skills on twitter and he will have been pleased to receive such a well-put message from one of the greats of the game.
The 46-year-old will be happy with his start to a coaching career with his side still unbeaten in the longer format of the game since he took over.
The tour to West Indies and this three test match series against New Zealand have shown that Kumble has already got the team playing together as a unit and in his time as a coach, he has already shown enough to give the fans hope of taking Indian back to the number 1 test spot in months to come.
However, with a long season up ahead in Indian, Kumble would be happy with the start to the ODI series and will hope to enjoy his birthday before the next game on Wednesday.
Let’s all wish him a happy and a prosperous Birthday.
