It has been a wedding week for the Indian cricketers and especially for the fast bowlers as Zaheer Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got married to their longtime girlfriend on the same day. And now Ankit Rajpoot, the right-arm pacer from Uttar Pradesh got into the same league of newlywed couples as he tied the knot with his girlfriend, Maahi Singh.
The 23-year-old young pacer played for Uttar Pradesh, his native state in the domestic season and represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the last edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He showed a lot of prospect in the limited opportunities he got, bowling quick and pitching the ball in right areas. The young pacer will be looking forward to the next year’s auction to get picked by a franchise. He also had a good stint during India A’s recent tour to South Africa under the watchful eyes of Rahul Dravid.
Rishi Dhawan, the all-rounder from Himachal Pradesh probably attended the marriage ceremony and shared a picture of the newly married couple from his official Instagram account. Along with the picture he wished the couple for a better future ahead. He wrote, “Many many congratulations to my brother @ankitrajpoot.412 and bhabhi ji @maahi_23singh, may god bless u both with a wonderful life ahead.”

Rajpoot was highly rated by former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad, who was the bowling coach for the Uttar Pradesh for two seasons.
