Anurag Thakur Smashes James Anderson For His Childish Comments

Team India sealed an emphatic win over England in fourth and penultimate Test match at Wankhede stadium but the England pacer James Anderson somehow spiced up the taste of this win by giving a controversial statement on Virat Kohli. During the post-match presser after the completion of day 4, Anderson said that Kohli is taking advantage from the Indian pitches and added that his technique has not changed, “I am not sure if he (Kohli) has changed. I just think any technical deficiencies he has got are not in play out here. The wickets just take that out of the equation. There is not that pace in the wicket to get the nicks like we did against him in England – with a bit more movement,” he said.
Virat Kohli went on to score his third double century of the year becoming the first Indian to do so. But that did not seem to please James Anderson who gave these childish comments. However, Virat Kohli did not react to his comments but BCCI President Anurag Thakur was quick to reply. First, he congratulated team India on their win, “India have shown that they are truly the number one team in the world. The way Jayant Yadav has performed needs to be praised,” Thakur told ANI.
He further pronounced a Hindi proverb ‘Khisiyaani bill Khamba noche’ (A cat expresses anger after biting the dust) to demonstrate the bafflement and frustration of England players who are yet to taste any success on this tour.
Not just this, Indian off-spinner R Ashwin also had some words for James Anderson as both were involved in a verbal spat during the fifth and the final day of the game before Ashwin finished the game in the first hour of the day, in just a matter of 47 balls.
A notable thing was that skipper did not utter a word on this whole issue and a player took the initiative to protect his captain.
Both Kohli and Ashwin have been the stars in the series as Kohli has scored 640 runs in seven innings; on the other hand, Ashwin has also taken 27 wickets including three fifers. James Anderson performance is on a low note as he has only four wickets to his name. So this untoward attitude shown by James Anderson is understandable and this has been the part of the history as well.
Indian team has already won the Test series against England as they are 3-0 up with a Test match to go to be played in Chennai.
