Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar‘s son Arjun Tendulkar has earned a call-up in the Mumbai squad for the upcoming tournament Bapuna Cup in Nagpur. It is the pre-season tournament, and Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) organises it yearly.

On Monday (26th August), the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the 15-member squad for the forthcoming Bapuna Cup. The upcoming Bapuna Cup tournament will be the 50-over contest, and it will begin from 5th September 2019.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Mumbai side in the upcoming Bapuna Cup. In this 15-member squad, the 19-year-old Arjun Tendulkar has also earned an opportunity.

Arjun Tendulkar is the bowling all-rounder. He is a left-arm medium pacer and left-handed batsman. In last year, the youngster served India U19 in the Youth Test cricket. He travelled to Sri Lanka for the two-match Youth Test series against the hosts in July 2018. During that series, the left-arm pacer bagged three wickets in four innings.

In last May, Arjun Tendulkar played the T20 Mumbai League 2019 where he served for Aakash Tigers MWS. While his team finished as the semifinalists, the young Tendulkar took five wickets and also scored 104 runs (average 17.33).

Arjun Tendulkar recently played for Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers. He participated both in the Second Eleven Championship and Second Eleven T20. Most recently, in the Second Eleven Championship game against Gloucestershire 2nd XI at Rockhampton, Arjun performed well for his side during the opposition’s second innings. Arjun managed the incredible bowling figures of 10-4-19-4 which led them to bundle out Gloucestershire 2nd XI for just 81 runs in the second innings. That bowling helped his team to win that game an innings and 46 runs.
