Arjun Tendulkar is selected for Mumbai’s Under 19 team for the upcoming JY Lele All India tournament. The tournament will be played in Baroda from September 16 to 23. Arjun has previously represented Mumbai in various age group teams, but this will be the first time when he will play for Under 19 side.

A left-handed bowler, he is one of the fast bowlers who is seen at Lord’s on most occasions. He recently bowled in England team nets before their Test against South Africa. One of the balls from him hit Jonny Bairstow, and he left the net session in pain. Later, he was also seen bowling in India’s women team nets ahead of the final clash against England. The addition of Arjun is surely a big boost for the Mumbai side.

The absence of Arman Jaffer from the team is surely a surprise. Meanwhile, the team will miss the services of Prithvi SHaw. The right handed batsman and the captain of India Under 19 One day side, had been called to India Red team a few days back to replace Abhinav Mukund, who is down with viral fever. Though he didn’t get a game; was able to make it to the tournament comprising of India’s top 45 players at present.
