As A Footballer, I Think I Am A Complete Player: Virat Kohli
In addition to his extraordinary batting exploits, Virat Kohli has made many his fans with his indomitable character and confidence. His sky-high confidence and never-say-die attitude is perhaps the biggest reasons behind his transformation as arguably the best batsman in the world at the moment, and his recent interview on Star Sports is enough to show that how highly he sets the benchmarks for himself.
In a candid chat with anchor Jatin Sapru ahead of the Celebrity-Clasico, scheduled to be played on October 15 at Andheri Sports Complex, Kohli said that his FIFA rating should not be less than 98 and went on to say that in his head he is Cristiano Ronaldo, the reigning Ballon d’Or holder.
The chat began with the anchor asking the Indian cricket star:
“Who is the appointed goalkeeper of your team?”
In reply, the India skipper said:
” We actually don’t know. Shami was pretty good at goalkeeping when we played football with the team last time. But I am not sure who is going to take up the gloves this time around,” he said.
The interviewer further asked Kohli which player he considers himself in his head.
A confident Kohli replied:
“Someone asked me what would be FIFA rating, I said 98. Not below that at all. I am good at shooting, my right foot is good, my left foot is good. As a footballer, I think I am a complete player. In my head I am Ronaldo.”

The 28-year old went on to speak about his team’s strategy, saying:
“I feel that best part of my game is sprinting and passing the bowl accurately to the guys who score goals. MS (Dhoni) I think would be right winger because his pretty quick as well or may be he can be centre-forward as well. His positioning is very well and he reads passes very well.
He concluded by revealing the best player in the team.
Manish (Pandey) is the best footballer in the team. He is playing in the midfield position,” he said.
Kohli will lead All Hearts FC against Abhishek Bachchan-led All Stars Football club. Last year, the game had ended 2-2.
