With an average just over 50, Langer holds the record of the highest individual score of 250 runs in the past 40 years. Ponting mentioned that Langer had given the Australian team some amazing starts and had the capability of playing long innings. Ponting further stated that towards the end of the southpaw’s career, Langer thoroughly enjoyed being out there on the field.
