England premium lanky fast bowler Stuart Broad revealed his skipper and teammate Joe Root had cracked a joke on him while delivering the practical example cited as ‘Broad sexting scandal’.
The reports further revealed one of the newspapers caught the attention of Root when he found the headline which read as ‘Broad in Sexting Scandal’.
“Rooty put all the papers lined up together just with the ‘Broad in sexting scandal’ headline showing and sent a picture to me,” Broad was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

The 31-year-old Broad reiterated he was somewhat haunted after he woke up to the news regarding the scandal which was devoted to the name ‘Broad.
“I woke up with five different papers saying ‘Broad in scandal’ and thought, ‘Oh no, what have I done?’” Broad maintained.
The joke against Stuart ahead of the start of the much-awaited Ashes series has been already doing the rounds over social media, particularly in Australia.
Earlier in the last week of October, the Aussies Rules (football) player Nathan Broad embroiled into the controversy following the leaking of an explicit photo on a social media platform WhatsApp which revealed a semi-naked woman was wearing one of the winner’s medal.
“He stuffed me out of sight. There’s an Aussie Rules player called Nathan Broad who had been involved in some scandal or other,” Broad disclosed the episode.

Soon after Tiger’s 2017 final victory, Nathan grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons when he dispatched the photo to his mates after lifting the premiership cup for the club.

However, the Richmond Tigers athlete Broad was embarrassed and tendered the public apology after facing the wrath when the photo went viral over the social media.
Moreover, the 26-year-old Root also sent the newspaper photograph to his manager Neil Fairbrother, who’s further managing Ben Stokes and Broad.
Interestingly, after Root cracked a joke on Broad for having the similar surname the culprit had, the Australian local media during the Three Lions warm-up fixture against Western Australia last week termed the batting mainstay as ‘Average Joe’.
“But then the papers called him ‘Average Joe’ the next day, so it came back to bite him,” Broad said.

The Sunday edition devoted a full back-page to Root, who has had a poor start in the practice game.
“But then the papers called him ‘Average Joe’ the next day, so it came back to bite him,” Broad concluded.
With England, dressing seeming to be teasing each other, Broad and Root after sweating it out in Perth stated they are going to give their best in front of the hostile crowd, as the bowler had already enjoyed the last laugh following the lively banter.
