Australian cricketer David Warner is suddenly struggling to find his consistent form in the ongoing Ashes 2019 in England. English pacer Stuart Broad has successfully overpowered Warner in this series. Recently, another Aussie star Steven Smith has claimed that Warner admitted his clueless mind against Broad.

After completing the one-year suspension, David Warner returned to the national team in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Before that tournament, the left-handed opener already achieved huge success in the IPL 2019. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Warner (692 runs) finished as the leading run-scorer in that tournament.

Warner maintained his golden batting form in the CWC 2019. At the end of that tournament, Warner (647 runs) was just one run short from the leading run-scorer of that tournament – Indian opener Rohit Sharma (648 runs). Warner hit three centuries and three half-centuries in that tournament.

Due to these batting forms in limited-overs cricket, many expected Warner’s similar batting performances in the Ashes 2019. However, he has totally disappointed with his performances in the ongoing Ashes. The left-handed batsman has scored only 79 runs in eight innings of the Ashes 2019 (average 9.87). In this series, He has scored 2, 8, 3, 5, 61, 0, 0 and 0.

David Warner has no clue against Stuart Broad

Steven Smith has recently claimed that Warner admitted the dominance of Stuart Broad against him in this series. Warner has tried hard to handle this situation in different ways but he has failed almost every time.

Smith said according to abc.net.au, “We’ve talked, a few different things here and there.

“It’s just trying to form a plan to get through Broad.

“He’s admitted himself Broad’s had the wood on him throughout this series and he’s been talking to myself and Justin (Langer) and Graeme Hick (batting coach).

“I think about ways he can play. He’s tried a couple different ways and they haven’t quite worked.”

Out of Stuart Broad’s six successes against David Warner in Ashes 2019, one was lbw, two were caught behind, and the other three were bowled dismissals.
