Coming back to the Old Trafford Test, Australia declared their second innings on 186/6. They set the target of 383 runs for the hosts England. Wade scored 34 runs off 76 balls (two fours) before Archer dismissed him. Earlier, in the previous over, Smith lost his wicket on 82 runs. Archer bagged three wickets (3/45) in that innings.
