England pacer Ollie Robinson revealed that it was disappointing on being down with a back spasm during the crucial third test against Australia. The right arm pacer suffered an injury during the third test in Headingley which forced him to be out of action for most of the game.
The England seamer has picked up ten wickets in the series so far in three games. The 29-year-old was not his usual best in this series as he could not make an impact performance for his team in the series so far as the Australian batter played him exceedingly well in all three games.
In his column for Wisden, Ollie Robinson wrote that it was frustrating to get back spasms during the third test and said that he looking forward to the next game in Manchester as he is 100% fit for the game and revealed that spasms could have happened due to playing back-to-back games in a short time.
“It was so frustrating to get that back spasm on day one. I was really looking forward to bowling and it was coming out nicely, but these things happen,” Ollie Robinson wrote.

“The medical team said that it’s likely to have happened because I played back-to-back Test matches, and bowled 15 overs of bumpers at Lord’s. So, sometimes these things come around, but then they go just as quickly as well. I’m 100 per cent fit for Manchester,” Ollie Robinson added.
England pacers Mark Wood and Chris Woakes played a vital role in their team’s comeback victory on the Headingley test in the absence of Ollie Robinson in the 2nd innings, as both bowled beautifully in both innings alongside veteran pacer Stuart Broad to keep the Ashes hopes alive in their home soil.
I Was Available To Bowl On The Third Day If I’d Been Needed – Ollie Robinson
Ollie Robinson revealed that he had some acupuncture treatment for the back spasm injury during the 3rd game in Headingley and said that he was available to bowl on the third day if required, but England decided against it as they bowled with only four bowlers in the 2nd innings alongside Joe Root bowling a single over.

“I think we caught it earlier than I have done in the past. I had some acupuncture, a bit of treatment, and I was fine after that. I was available to bowl on the third day if I’d been needed,” Ollie Robinson added.
England will look to continue their winning momentum going into the Manchester Test. If England wins this Test, they will be able to come back into the series and make it 2-2. However, if Australia manages to either draw or win it, they will retain the Ashes.
