Australian batter Travis Head revealed that enjoys the verbal battle against England pacer Ollie Robinson in the field during the 1st test and expects him to come hard on the second test at the Lord’s starting on June 28. World Test Champions Australia lead the series 1-0 after a thrilling win in the last session of the 1st test and they will look to continue their winning momentum in the much-awaited 2nd test.

England dominated the 1st match from the start of the game, as they performed brilliantly well to reduce Australia to 227-8 in the chase 280 runs, with Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon putting in a match-winning partnership in the final session to take their team home on high octane clash.

Travis Head had a decent outing with the bat scoring a half-century in the 1st innings, as the England pacer attacked him with the short balls. Speaking about the verbal battle on and off the field, Travis Head said that the England team is throwing some nice chats off-field to spice up the series and added that Australia is just looking to extend their lead in the second test.

“We’re only going for lunch (at Lord’s), apparently, Yeah, they (England) have got this mantra they’re going at. Not just on the field but off the field they are throwing some nice chat out, but this team is truly just worried about what we need to do to win the second Test to go 2-0 up and put some pressure on them.” Travis Head funnily told 9News

England pacer Ollie Robinson could not control his emotions after ending Usman Khawaja’s brilliant century in the first innings of the 1st test as he gave an abusive send-off to the Australian opener and the right-arm pacer has been facing brutal trolling on social media, for his act on and off field post the Day 3 play of the 1st test.

Travis Head revealed that he was enjoying his battle with Ollie Robinson on the field and expects it to continue for the next four games and believes the England pacer would be pumped up to come hard on the 2nd test in the iconic Lord’s stadium

“I find it pretty fun. I had a few quiet words, jovial words, to him out there. It all makes for good fun, and we’ll see where the next four Tests go”.

“It didn’t go his way in the first one, but he’s very competitive, and he will want to step up. But if he doesn’t, I think they have got a few people at home that might want to get up his back.”
