Australian Team Gives Stuart Broad Guard Of Honor; Broad Hits Starc For A Six

Prior to the start of Day 4, the Australian players created a guard of honor for Broad in accordance with tradition. However, the seasoned English bowler kept a special moment for his longtime bowling partner Anderson as they left the locker room.

As they crossed the field, Broad offered Anderson a side hug and appeared to carry him past the line of honor as well. Anderson remained in front of the line of defense, allowing Broad to enjoy himself.

Stuart Broad’s final six of his international career came against Mitchell Starc, and it also happened to be the final run England scored before being bowled out for 395. The Oval crowd cheered as the left-handed batter connected with Starc’s short-pitched delivery well and hit it for a six.
