The future of the IPL 2020 is currently doubtful amid the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus outbreak. However, the 40-year-old former Indian left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra believes that the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is still possible.

The IPL 2020 was initially scheduled from 29th March to 24th May 2020. But every initial plan for the IPL 2020 was destroyed due to domination of the coronavirus globally. Many people have been affected due to this virus as the coronavirus cases are regularly increasing, including death. In this global crisis moment, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has followed a similar step like the other sports event organisers as they have postponed the IPL 2020 till 15th April.

Hoping the possibility of IPL 2020, the BCCI is still sorting out various plans to host this tournament successfully in the new limited periods.

If things go back to normal around the world by October, we’ll have a 100% clearance.”

Australia has the schedule to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 between 18th October and 15th November 2020. Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that they are still hoping to successfully organise the Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 in the scheduled time.
