Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya will miss the remainder of the Asia Cup 2018 after he sustained an injury during the marquee clash against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar will come in as the replacement for the injured Pandya. As per reports in TOI, Chahar will land in Dubai on Thursday and will be available for the next game.
The incident took place in the 18th over of the game when Pandya came steaming in to bowl at Babar Azam. However, Hardik went on the ground after finishing the followthrough. The physio came running to attend to Hardik Pandya who continued to lie motionless with a lot of pain writ over his face. However, it doesn’t look great, as the stretcher takes him out of the ground.

Later, the BCCI tweeted that Pandya was suffering from an acute lower back injury. Hardik Pandya ended with figures of 4.5-0-24-0 after MS Dhoni dropped Babar Azam on 32.
India, meanwhile, strolled to an authoritative eight-wicket victory against Pakistan in the marquee Asia Cup group clash in an atmospheric Dubai International Stadium. Here we are with the players rating.
India’s bowlers – Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Kedar Jadhav, in particular – were simply too hot for Pakistan’s batsmen to handle, despite a middle-order rebuild from Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik after Kumar had blasted out Pakistan’s openers.

However, it was an easy chase for the men in blues as he chased it down quite convincingly after two hiccups. Rohit Sharma led the team from the front on the batting front with a brilliantly made fifty. Shikhar Dhawan, Amabati Rayudu, and Dinesh Karthik also made significant contribution to chase it down easily.
