Pakistan Cricket team skipper Sarfraz Ahmed admitted the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s presence at the stadium will be a huge motivation for them on the eve of their Asia Cup Group A game against India.
Meanwhile, the Green Caps started their campaign astoundingly routing minnow Hong Kong in the first game. The bowlers did a good job backed well by the top-order batsmen. However, they will have to continue their effort against the arch-rivals.
However, Fakhar Zaman, who started the game against Hong Kong on a high failed to finish it. He has been the main man behind Pakistan’s success in the limited-over cricket. Sarfraz Ahmed, meanwhile, is confident that Zaman will continue to perform well in the upcoming fixtures.

“If you look at Fakhar Zaman, he has been improving constantly and he is the key behind our ODI and T20I success as he always gives us a good platform. We have hopes that he will continue to perform well in the upcoming matches,” Sarfraz said.
Among all goods, Mohammad Amir went wicketless against a weak Hong Kong batting which will keep the think tank on their toes. Sarfraz Ahmed stated that they had a chat with Amir and are hopeful about him.

“Of course it’s a concern that Amir hasn’t picked up wickets. We sat down with him and told him that he’s playing as a strike bowler and that his job is to pick up wickets. Hopefully, he strikes with the ball in the upcoming matches,” he continues.
It will be a huge motivation
The 31-year-old Sarfraz Ahmed feels the presence of the Imran Khan at the stands will work as a motivation. He also admitted that the current PM works as a motivating factor everytime he comes to watch a game.

“Imran Khan has a fan following in both India & Pakistan. If he comes to the ground it’ll be great for the fans. For us, it’ll be motivation as he’s coming as the PM plus the Pakistan team is always motivated whenever he comes to watch a match,” Sarfraz concluded.
