Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Wednesday (August 3), announced the Pakistan squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. The fifteenth edition of the tournament is scheduled to begin on August 27 in Dubai while the final is scheduled to take place on September 11 at the same venue. Apart from Pakistan, five others teams – India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and a qualifier team – will play in Asia Cup 2022.

Pakistan are placed in Group A along with India and the qualifier. The Men in Green will open their campaign with a mouthwatering clash against arch-rivals India. Babar Azam & Co. last played against India in last year’s T20 World Cup and had inflicted a humiliating 10-wicket defeat on the Men in Blue. Pakistan’s second group game is scheduled against the qualifier on September 2.
