I Have Called Babar Azam The Best Batsman In Pakistan – Mohammad Amir
Mohammad Amir feels that his works about Babar Azam have been misinterpreted on the matter about him bowling to a tailender or the Pakistan skipper during the Pakistan Super League and recollected his previous interviews where he called the Pakistan Captain the best batsman in the world, as he got the technique to bat in the ODI Cricket and Test Cricket.
“First, I would like to ask those who have misrepresented this matter. Show me one interview in which I said that Babar is an average player or a tailender.
“In all my interviews, I have called him the best batsman of Pakistan, which I am saying with my mouth, and have said in many places, that it is difficult to bowl against him in ODI and Test matches due to his technique. So, would I call him a tailender?” Mohammad Amir questioned.

“My point was that whether it’s Babar Azam or a number 11 playing, taking wickets is important for me because it benefits the team” he added.
The left-arm has not represented Pakistan since 2020 after quitting international cricket due to reported differences with then-head coach Misbah-ul-Haq. Mohammad Amir has represented Pakistan in 36 Tests, 61 ODIs, and 50 T20Is, claiming 259 international scalps in total.
