Live Blog:  Australia extend the lead of the series 2-0. They won the Brisbane ODI by seven wickets. George Bailey scored 76 while two openers Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh scored 71 each. But, Rohit Sharma was adjudged man of the match for his 124.

Australia have lost both opener Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh. Now captain Steve Smith and George Bailey are batting the crease with Australia need 115 run in 15 overs. 

Wicket!!! Aaron Finch has gone. He tried to play a lofted shot, but Ajinkya Rahane took a stunning catch. 

Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch now battering Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. Marsh is batting on 62

Australia 82 in 18  overs without losing  any wicket. Australian openers Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch are now opening hands for big shots after playing a little bit slow.  Ishant Sharma dropped Shaun Marsh catch which could be expensive for India.

Australia need chase 309 to win the match in 50 overs. 

India in the death over made thing difficult for them. Australian bowling made a good comeback in the match. After Rohit Sharma’s departure India lose five wickets for only 53 runs. India could not exploit the platform laid out by Rohit Sharma, as a result, India once agin failed to add a few important runs after scoring 308 for 8.   

Oh!! Rohit Sharma got run out. His 124 off 127 balls run innings comes to an end. Rohit hunger for runs has not ended. He looked dejected even after contributing a massive innings. 

Projected score as per current run rate 291. But, with seven wickets in hand and two settled batsmen in the crease Indian can post a formidable 300 plus run innings. 

Accolades for Rohit Sharma 

Brilliant innings from Rohit Sharma. He completes his second successive hundred  against Australia in this series. 100 runs off 111 balls, 8 fours and 3 hundred. 

Rohit Sharma is in nervous nineties. 1 ball… 2 balls. He is taking a little time. 

33 over has gone! India 183 losing two wickets. Rohit Sharma close to his second hundred. He is batting on 95. The partnership between him and Rahane cross the 50. 

Ajinkya Rahane joins Rohit Sharma. However, a 125 run partnership has broken.  

 

Ominous!! Virat Kohli called for the second run but he failed to reach the mark, as a result, he  got run out. A good throw from Kane Richardson from square leg, wicketkeeper Matthew Wade completes the process. 

Rohit Sharma is in the terrific form he is hammering clueless Australian bowling. Both Virat and Rohit reached their respective 50 marks. However, like the first ODI India yet to get run from single. India’s current run rate is 5.48. 

After the fall of the first wicket, Shikhar Shawan batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are gradually defining the innings. India reached 63 in 13 overs. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have settled down. 

India batting first lost the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan as the left-handed batsman was caught behind off Joel Paris in the third over. Paris made his debut in Perth ODI.
