Australia won the third test match against South Africa in Cape Town on Wednesday, and with this victory of 245 runs over haveSouth Africa they a displaced India from second place in ICC Test Cricket ranking to third.

The Aussie team started the series with 111 points and this victory has brought them 4 more points that means they have closed the series with 115 points. They are leading now by 3 points from India.

While South Africa still holds the first place in the ranking table with 127 points. The huge difference of points between the first place holder and the second place holder, keeps the South Africa to hold the top position of the ranking table, despite of losing the series against Aussie. The cutoff date is 1st April.

Australia at the same time, won the prize money of $370,000 for holding the second position. While India got the prize money of $265,000 for holding the third position. England won $160,000, and South Africa procures the amount of $475,000. International Cricket Council (ICC) was considering, if they can increase the perquisite in the form of prize money, it could regain the lost distinction of Test cricket in cricketing world.
