Ravichandran Ashwin might have been ruled out of the upcoming tenth edition of the Indian Premier League but it has not stopped the India off-spinner from shifting his focus away from the cricket field. The 30-year old recently picked up his fantasy team and posted it on Twitter. The Tweaker picked the team for the Gen Next Cricket Academy, a cricket academy which is mentored by him.
Speaking about the team, the Tamil Nadu ace has picked up eight players from India , two from Australia and one each from Bangladesh and England. Interestingly, Australia and newly-appointed Rising Pune Supergiant skipper Steve Smith, who was heavily involved in controversies during the just-concluded India-Australia series, made it to the team. The other Australian in the team is all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was bought by the Pune-based outfit at a record-breaking amount this year, has also made it to the team.
Here is the fantasy team chosen by Ashwin:
Batsmen:
Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Kedar Jadhav, Manan Vohra, Mayank Agarwal.
Wicketkeeper:
Wriddhiman Saha
All-rounders:
Ben Stokes, Krunal Pandya
Bowlers:
Mustafizur Rahman, Kuldeep Yadav, Amit Mishra.
