Australia to play in a T20I Tri-series Featuring Zimbabwe and Pakistan this July

Australia is scheduled to tour Zimbabwe in July this year for their second Tri-nation Twenty20 International tournament.
This time around, Australia lock horns with hosting country Zimbabwe and Pakistan for a seven-match series.
Pakistan will later take on Zimbabwe in the five-match One-day International series.
The last time Australians toured Zimbabwe was also for a Tri-series featuring South Africa and Zimbabwe way back in 2014.
Harare Sports Club is set to host all fixtures of the triangular series. The venue recently hosted the 2018 ICC World Cup Qualifiers.
Aussies feature in a 5-match ODI series in England this June
Meanwhile, Queens Sports Club at Bulawayo is slated to host the ODI series against Pakistan.
Before boarding the flight to Harare, Australia will feature in a five-match ODI series against England which would include a solitary T20I.
“Following months of negotiations, we are pleased to confirm we will be hosting a T20I triangular series involving Australia and Pakistan.Followed by an ODI series against Pakistan,” the Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket, Faisal Hasnain quoted according to cricket.co.au.
“Playing two of the game’s biggest teams will provide us with a very welcome litmus test as we forge ahead with our plans to develop a stronger Zimbabwe side. Which should be capable of consistently competing and winning against the best,” added Hasnain.
That said, the series in England will tell us how the new-look Australian team employs on the field in coloured clothing.
Earlier, ball-tampering scandal witnessed Australia’s captain and vice-captain being handed a one-year ban. Their coach Darren Lehmann also resigned from his coveted position, as Cameron Bancroft will serve the nine-month suspension.
It is learnt that cricket board of Australia is bound to declare its men’s player contract on Wednesday, for the 2018-19 season.
On the other hand, internal conflict has taken centre-stage in Zimbabwe Cricket post their failure to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.
Zimbabwe Cricket’s administration sacked the coaching staff. Also, their convener of selectors Tatenda Taibu, following Zimbabwe’s exit from the race to upcoming World Cup in England.
