India’s limited overs deputy Rohit Sharma congratulated the Indian team on the sensational series win against Australia. Rohit took to his Twitter account to give his message to the team. The visitors won their first series on the Australia soil to create history. India took a 2-1 lead after the third Test match at Melbourne. In fact, they had their noses in front in the final and fourth Test match but could win due to rain and bad light.

Meanwhile, India won the first Test match by 31 runs. However, they lost the second match at Perth by 146 runs. In fact, they bounced back in style to win the Boxing Day Test match by 137 runs and took an impregnable lead to retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma had played a crucial knock of 63 runs in the first innings of the third Test match at Melbourne. However, he returned back to India for the birth of his daughter, Samaira.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is on his way to Australia again to be part of the ODI series. The first ODI will take place at Sydney on January 12. Kedar Jadhav had taken to Twitter to share the photographs with MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma.

On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara and Jasprit Bumrah were the architects of India maiden series win in Australia. Pujara scored 521 runs in the series at an average of 74.43 and he was the big difference between the two batting sides.

Furthermore, Jasprit Bumrah scalped 21 wickets in the series and was the leading wicket-taker along with Nathan Lyon. Bumrah bowled with an impeccable average of 17.
