New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham and India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin were involved in a friendly banter on Twitter. Neesham asked why the live telecast of the first T20I Australia and India has turned to Rugby on Sky New Zealand. Thus, Ravichandran Ashwin informed Neesham that it is raining in Brisbane and the match is halted.

However, Neesham tried to pull the leg of India’s off-spinner as he said it is raining sixes as Australia has already hit nine sixes in 16.1 overs bowled. Subsequently, Ashwin told the Kiwi player that the Indian team is yet to bat. Thus, Neesham said India’s captain Virat Kohli is batting second and so the match is already over.

Australian batsmen went berserk.
In fact, Virat Kohli has been a master of run-chases and has done a fine job for the Indian team. Meanwhile, the tourists have been sloppy in the field in the first T20I against Australia.

On the other hand, an inexperienced dual of Khaleel Ahmed and Krunal Pandya has taken a beating from Aussie batters. Ahmed leaked 42 runs in his three overs whereas Pandya gave away 55 runs in his fours overs quota.

Brisbane’s local boy Chris Lynn was on fire as he was able to find the sweet spot of his bat. Lynn took the attack to Khaleel Ahmed and took 21 runs of the eight over. The rookie left-arm also fluffed Stoinis catch at third man region. After Lynn’s dismissal, Marcus Stoinis, and Glenn Maxwell were able to take forward Australia’s charge.
