Australia vs India 2018: Kuldeep Yadav Reveals Shane Warne’s Advice to Bowl on Australian Pitches

India’s chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav has revealed Shane Warne’s advice on how he should bowl on the Australian pitches. There is no better man than Shane Warne to guide a spinner on how to bowl on the tour of Down Under. Kuldeep said Warne asked him to bowl normally and not try too many variations. Thus, the former legendary leg-spinner has adviced Yadav to stick to his guns.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav could be an X-factor on the Australian pitches. He had made his Test debut against Australia in Dharamshala where he took four wickets in the first innings. Thus, Yadav would look to come up with a similar kind of performance against the Australian team, if he receives his chance.

“I have always followed Shane Warne. I had a chat with Warne a few days ago. He asked me to meet him and advised me to bowl normally, changing the angle (over the wicket to round the wicket). There will be a bounce on Australian wickets and I can use that in my favour. If spinners perform well, we will get success,” Kuldeep told IndiaTV during ‘Cricket Ki Baat’ show.

Meanwhile, Yadav believes it will be a challenge for him to bowl in the Australian conditions for the first time. However, Yadav wants to keep his basics right in the forthcoming series.

“It will be a challenge for me to bowl in Australia since it will be my first tour Down Under. You have to keep your basics right while bowling in overseas conditions, keeping yourself motivated is also important. I will try to do the same, no variations. I don’t see myself as a mystery bowler but rather a quality bowler,” said the chinaman bowler.

Kuldeep went on to add that he wants to perform well for the team and it is going to be a good learning curve for him in the Australian conditions. Meanwhile, Kuldeep wants to get better with every day.

“I always think about my team, want to see our team do well. It’s just the beginning for me, I try to get better every day. Right now, my focus is on the Australian tour. It will be a challenge for me to perform in Australia,” he said.

India will take on Australia in the first T20I on November 21 at the Gabba.
