Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke backs Kuldeep Yadav to be India’s first choice spinner for the first Test match at Adelaide. Clarke wants India to pick the mystery chinaman ahead of premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. The former Aussie captain praised Yadav for his fine spell in the first T20I against Australia. The southpaw spinner scalped two wickets and conceded only 16 runs in his four overs quota.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav can have an X-factor in the first Test match at Adelaide. Thus, Clarke wants Yadav to be in the playing XI. The former talisman right-handed batsman also pointed out that Kuldeep bowls with a cross seam. Therefore, it makes it difficult for the batsman to differentiate between his off-spinner and the wrong one.

Kuldeep Yadav has been in fine form.
Kuldeep’s googly was once again on display in the first T20I against Australia. The southpaw spinner was able to bamboozle Australia’s skipper Aaron Finch who advanced but found the outside edge to the point fielder.

Kuldeep was also able to get the better of dangerous looking Chris Lynn with another googly. Lynn had a perfect start and was taking the game away from the Indian team. The combative right-hander scored a quickfire 20-ball 37 to give a fine platform to the hosts. Yadav took a good return catch to send back Lynn on his way.

Michael Clarke said while talking to Harsha Bhogle on Sony Ten 3 during the rain-break, “If I am India, I am picking Kuldeep Yadav ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja as my number one spinner at Adelaide”.
Ravichandran Ashwin is India’s first choice red-ball spinner, however, he hasn’t done a great job while playing in the overseas conditions. Hence, it won’t be a bad idea to play Kuldeep Yadav in the first Test match as the mystery spinner can bring X-factor to the table.
