The first half of the game completely goes to the Australian side, who put on a show at The Gabba, Brisbane. All the batsmen went for a kill, which favoured them quite superbly. The likes Chris Lynn, Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell all came to the party to put the Indians on their toes throughout the innings.

Initially, it was Virat Kohli, who won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. Both the openers started the things cautiously but failed to catch it up later. Khaleel Ahmed struck wicket right in his first over while Kuldeep Yadav sent Aaron Finch.

Chris Lynn, Maxwell put a show:

During the course, Chris Lynn showed his charisma where he took on Indian bowlers to the cleaners. Especially, he smashed Khaleel Ahmed to all corners of the park to bring the much-needed impetus to the scorecard.

Just when things looked bleak for team India, Kuldeep Yadav outfoxed Chris Lynn by taking a super return catch. Chris Lynn smashed 37 off 20 balls that included four massive sixes and one boundary.

However, it wasn’t the end of entertainment as Marcus Stonis, and Glenn Maxwell carried the onslaught. Glenn Maxwell, in particular, has been dismissive, who displayed high-class hitting in the middle.

Just when things looked pretty pleasing for Australia, rain god intervened in the game to seal the momentum. Rightly, when the game is nearing to its finishing stage, rain curtailed the game by allowing them to play only 17 overs.

The return after the rain break wasn’t that great, as Jasprit Bumrah sent down Glenn Maxwell right in his first delivery. Bumrah has been pretty top-class in this final five deliveries, which allowed the home side to put 158 on the board. The revised target is 174 in 17 overs.
