Glenn Maxwell was either denied of a six or unintentionally saved by Fox Cricket’s Flying Fox in the first Twenty20 between Australia and India at Brisbane.
Meanwhile, the two-month-long tour commenced with T20Is as both the team will strive for a win to set the tone for the series. A four-match Test series and an ODI series will follow the T20Is to put curtains on the tour. The men in blues will be keen to do well in this tour to the Down Under.

In a bid to do so, they have restricted the hosts to 158 for four in 17 overs after several interruptions from the rain. Asking to bat first, Aaron Finch and D’Arcy Short looked settled as they pounced on the loose deliveries. However, young left-arm pacer, Khaleel Ahmed was soon to struck dismissing Short to start the tour on a high.
Chris Lynn tried to break free smashing four sixes, but it was Kuldeep Yadav, who had the last laugh removing skipper Finch and Lynn to have the Aussies at 88 for 3. Since then, it was Glenn Maxwell who hammered the ball brutally to change fortunes. He struck four sixes to up the scoring rate and help Australia post 158 runs with good support from Marcus Stoinis.

However, a funny incident took place in the 16th over of the Aussies innings. Maxwell skewed a slog off Krunal Pandya that flew high to hit the Flying Fox hovering high above the pitch. However, it is unclear whether the ball would have cleared the man at long-off if it had gone on uninterrupted. The umpires declared it as a dead ball as Krunal Pandya kept on tracking the ball.
