The India Blue batsman Baba Aprajith when informed that he will not be part of the Duleep trophy game against India Green, he flew back to Tamil Nadu covering a distance of around 2500 km to play TNPL. His return proved to be a boon for his team as the captain led from the front cracking 91 on his TNPL return. Riding on his innings the VB Thiruvallur Veerans put up a total of 206 on the board. He was well supported by NS Chaturved who also scored a half century.
The Ruby Kanchi warriors at the start were on a right track but lost their way in the middle. They lacked big partnerships which halted their success. Most of their batsman started off well but none of them could come up with a match winning innings. Baba Indrajith the captain of a warrior and twin brother of Baba Aprajith scored 21 runs.
It was the younger brother who emerged as the winner defeating his 12-minute elder brother at the end of the game.
The Veerans have now climbed to third spot with their third win in the fourth match whereas the Warriors’ team is in the seventh spot with just one win in 4 matches.
