BAN vs AUS 2017: Watch – Nasir Hossain Gives Pat Cummins a Bizarre Sendoff before Getting a Taste of his Own Medicine

The last few years have seen an unprecedented progress from Bangladesh team in the international cricket.
The appearance in the Asia Cup final, ODI series wins against the likes of South Africa, India, Test match victory against England, or most recently the appearance in the Champions Trophy semi final have truly proved that they have come a long way since making their debut in Test cricket in 2000.
But while they have hogged the limelight for their remarkable performances in recent years, one cannot disagree with the fact that they have also faced widespread criticism for their on-field conducts. Their memorable wins have been marred by incidents like ugly confrontations with the opposition players, ungentlemanly send-offs and much more.
Well, something similar was witnessed on day three from their batsman Nasir Hossain on day three of ongoing Test against Australia in Chittagong, as he gave a never-seen before send-off to Pat Cummins.
While some can say that it was done out of fun, his conduct is bound to raise questions on how much freedom the players should be given on the field. It all began when Cummins was adjudged not out by the umpire Nigel Llong after he did not offer a shot to a Mehedy Hasan delivery.
However, Bangladesh did not hesitate in reviewing the decision. Replays showed that the ball was well on the course to shatter the stumps and Llong had to overturn his initial decision.
However, when Llong signalled that his decision was reversed and raised his finger to adjudge the batsman out, Nasir, while standing next to him, made the similar gestures and almost in sync with the on-field umpire.
Here is a clip of that incident:

Speaking on the incident after the day’s play, David Warner said:
“I wasn’t watching, so I don’t know much about that. It’s one for obviously the umpires to look at and deem if it was a send-off or not. From my past track records, I know that the heat can get to you sometimes. I’m not making excuses for him, but yeah.”
Meanwhile, Australia spinner Steve O’Keefe gave Nasir a taste of his medicine after dismissing him in the second innings on day four. Following his dismissal, O’Keefe put his finger to his lips, probably telling the Bangladesh batsman to shut up.
