Bangladesh announces prefatory squad for England series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the preliminary squad for the home series against England which is scheduled to be played in the month of October. The selectors have also included Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny in the 30 men squad. Both the bowlers were reported for the suspected action and were banned during the T20 World Cup 2016. Both the players can only participate in the series after getting the nod from ICC.
All the selected players have to report to Mario Villavarayen at Shere Bangla stadium on July 20. Villavarayen is the strength and conditioning coach of the team.
The team consists of mixed of experienced and young players. The selectors have also included uncapped Kamrul Imran Rabbi. The 24 years old Rabbi has played 45 first class matches and 44 List A matches till now. He has also played 6 T20s till now. Rabbi was a part of Victoria SC team in the recently concluded Dhaka Premier League. He had a good DPL season. Rabbi has earlier played for Bangladesh U19 team in 2010 1U9 World Cup.
Interestingly the squad also includes Suhrawadi Shuvo who was struck by a bouncer during DPL. His DPL team filed an official complaint to BCB against him. He along with two other players came under scanner for suspicious on-field behaviour and were suspected for match fixing.
England team will travel to Bangladesh and will participate in 3 ODI’s followed by two test matches. All the matches will be played at two grounds, Shere Bangla stadium and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium, Chittagong. After the Bangladesh series, the England team will travel to India to play the five test matches series in November-December.
