Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Tuesday that they are now willing to give a no-objection certificate to their cricketers to take part in the remainder of the 2021 Indian Premier League in the UAE, as the home series against England is rescheduled.

Bangladesh Cricket Board had earlier stated that they are not willing to give a no-objection certificate to Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman to take part in the remainder of the 2021 IPL as they expected them to be with the national team for the preparations of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh Cricketers Mustafizur Rahman And Shakib AL Hasan Looking To Get NOC For Remaining Part Of IPL 2021

However, the decision of ECB and BCB to postpone England’s tour of Bangladesh to March 2023 has opened the door for the duo to take part in the remainder of IPL.

”Yes, if they apply and if we don’t have any international commitment they can go and take part in IPL. We are yet to receive any official letter from them in this regard and if we get that, the board will make a decision,” BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told Cricbuzz on Tuesday.

England’s planned tour of Bangladesh, which was due to take place in September and October 2021, will now take place in March 2023, it has been confirmed. The England and Wales Cricket Board and the Bangladesh Cricket Board have mutually decided to reschedule the tour, which includes three One Day Internationals and three T20 internationals. The tour is planned to take place in the first two weeks of March 2023.

Bangladesh was scheduled to host England for three ODIs and as many T20Is, which would have served as preparations for the T20 World Cup. The Bangladesh cricketers Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan are likely to get NOC to take part in the remaining part of IPL 2021 and this will be great news to the IPL fans.

Mustafizur Rahman had a good season for Rajasthan Royals picking up 8 scalps in 7 games until the IPL 2021 was suspended due to bio bubble breach while Shakib Al Hasan just played 3 games scoring 38 runs and picking 2 scalps and had to wait for his opportunity in the strong Kolkata Knight Riders squad.
