The first batch of 15 players was tested on August 16 and all the results were negative. So, they were sent for the practice session in BSKP. And the second batch, except Hossain, has also been sent for the one-month long training camp there.

“The first batch of 15 players arrived at the academy on August 15, were tested the following day, and when all were found negative, were sent to BKSP, the sports institute situated 36km from Mirpur. The same plan was followed for the second batch, except Hossain.”

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh team has been scheduled to play bilateral series against Sri Lanka later this year amid coronavirus scare. As reported, the Tigers will tour Lanka to play the three-match Test and T20I series. The visitors will have to follow a 14-days mandatory quarantine period there ahead of the series.
