Bangladesh all rounder Mehidy Hasan is looking fine after being hit on head during a training session. The news brings a huge relief for both team management and fans.
The world cup is in important phase where there is an intriguing fight for the semi finals berth. With England losing to Sri Lanka, all other teams in contention are hopeful of their chances. So, the injury scare was huge when it was first revealed.
However, both team’s media manager and head coach confirmed that the spin all rounder is doing fine. The incident happened when Sabbir Rahman played a pulled shot in the net session. Hasan was waiting for his turn to bat in the nets after Sabbir Rahman. But unfortunately the ball hit him on the side of the head.

Physio Thian Chandra Mohan attended to him immediately. On the other hand, media manager Rabeed Imam was also present at the scene. Mehidy insisted on batting after suffering the blow, but the management decided against it.
”Mehidy apparently wanted to continue batting in the nets but was not allowed to,” BCB media manager Rabeed Imam told reporters.
Head coach Steve Rhodes also confirmed Mehidy Hasan is fine at the moment. However, his participation in the upcoming game will depend on the concussion reports.
”He [Mehidy] was hit by a ball but as far as I know, he is fine at the moment,” said head coach Steve Rhodes.
Mehidy Hasan is an important player in the Bangladesh cricket team.

Although, he did not excel much with the bat, he was the most economical bowler for Bangladesh in the ongoing world cup. The young spinner has an economy rate of 5.59.
He also picked up five wickets in as many matches for Bangladesh. Captain Mashrafe Mortaza and the team management are hopeful to make him fit for their next match.
Bangladesh are set to face Afghanistan. After a bright start to the tournament, Bangladesh somehow lost their way. However, they have proven their rise in the ongoing world cup. They are currently on five points from 6 matches. They need to win all their 3 remaining games to stand a chance to qualify for semi finals.
Bangladesh will play against Afghanistan, Pakistan and India in their upcoming matches. The task is huge but Bangladesh had proven they can rise to the occasion.
