Scoring a double century in Cricket has always been a high point in a batsman’s batting resume and when it comes to that, Kumar Sangakkara is next to only Sir Don Bradman. In the ongoing match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Sangakkara scored his 10th Double century and went on to score 221 runs before being dismissed by Abdur Rehman. Kallis was the one who had to wait too long , before he launched his maiden double century against India.

4:Wally Hammond: He scored 7 double centuries in 85 matches and 140 innings. He scored a total of 7249 runs at an average of 58.45 with 4 centuries and 24 half centuries and a highest score of 374 runs, which lasted for quite a long time before Brian Lara went on to score 375 runs.
5:Mahela Jayawardene: Another Sri Lankan great who is playing the last series of his career. He has scored 7 double centuries in 148 Test matches( including the ongoing one) and has scored 11730 runs at an average of just above 50. His highest score being 374 runs.
