Adelaide Strikers, on Friday, defeated Hobart Hurricanes by five wickets to register their second win of the BBL 06.
Chasing 162, Ben Dunk led the way for Strikers with a 49-ball 79 as they comfortably chased down the total with 10 balls remaining. The hosts were in a spot of bother after being reduced to 47 for 2 but a 68-run partnership between Dunk and Brad Hodge set the tone for them. Kieron Pollard (15) and Jonathon (0) were dismissed cheaply but Dunk held firm from one end and helped his team cross the finish line without any further hiccup.
Earlier, Jonathan Wells and Beau Webster hit half-centuries to help Hurricanes recover from a precarious position and post a decent total on the board. The visitors were reeling at 30 for 5 in the sixth over before Wells and Webster rescued them with an 89-run partnership for the sixth wicket. The partnership was broken when Wells was dismissed for a well-made 55 off 37 balls. But Webster remained till the end and ensured that the Hurricanes bowlers get a decent total of 161 to defend.

#BBL06 Yeah, may as well mark it down in pen. Ben Dunk to open the batting with Aaron Finch for Australia v Sri Lanka. Convinced now.

The more you watch and listen to Brad Hodge, the more you wonder why he didn't play more for Australia #BBL06
