BBL 2018-19: 8th Match, Sydney Thunder vs Sydney Sixers – Report
Sydney Thunder emerged out victorious in the Sydney Derby at Big Bash League. (BBL 2018-19). Jos Buttler and the bowling department of Thunder made the efforts of Tom Curran went in vain in the afternoon game at Sydney Showground Stadium.
Jos Buttler knocks it for Sydney Thunder:
Buttler carried his glorious form at the opening slot in a T20 competition. He struck it beautifully for Sydney Thunder this time to make things happen. Alongside Buttler, Callum Ferguson and Daniel Sams are the other two players with considerable scores.

Joe Root once again failed to knock runs while Jason Sangha couldn’t repeat his show. However, the late whacks from Daniel Sams helped Sydney Thunder to manage a decent 169-run total on the board.

Then came the brilliance of Tom Curran, who was quite exceptional in dealing with Sydney Thunders bowling attack. He whacked the ball to all corners of the park to make things interesting for Sixers.
However, it wasn’t quite enough, as the run rate was quite high and there were no shoulders, which helped him. He walked back with a brilliant 62 to his name. For Thunder, Fawad Ahmed and Daniel Sams are the stars, who picked 3 wickets each. Jos Buttler collected the Man of the Match Trophy.
