BCCI allowed me to be interviewed through Skype: Ravi Shastri 1

Ravi Shastri has again hit back on Sourav Ganguly with his comments as now he is claiming that BCCI allowed him to communicate through Skype. “I got communication from the BCCI on the 19th June that the interview is on the 21st,” baffled Shastri told ETPanache. “I had left for Thailand on the 15th. No one knew at that time when the interview would be. And their mail categorically said that since it is at short notice I could make myself available on Skype at a particular time.” added Shastri.

It looks like Shastri will take the debate down to the wire in his own style as he is stretching the debate like a rubber band.

This all started when he was dumped from the post of the head coach of the Indian team. After that, there is no control on Shastri as he is daily giving statements in media. He is openly challenging and criticising Sourav Ganguly, a member of Advisory committee. He thinks that Dada is having a personal problem with him whereas, on the other hand, Ganguly is questioning the seriousness of Ravi Shastri.

Though Shastri accepts that he should have been there at the time of interview.” Ideally Yes. But I was out of the country and the BCCI did give me the option of Skype. Besides, Tom Moody and some other candidates did the interview on Skype. What’s the difference? In this day and age, half the world operates on video-conferencing.” Concludes Shastri. but he is not giving up the fight.

Anil Kumble won the race to the post of head coach and still the former director is finding is difficult to swallow this fact.
The BCCI has appointed Anil Kumble for a period of one year. The West Indies tour is the first stint of Kumble as national coach. Surely a win here on this series will force Shastri to take back his words but in case the opposite happens, Shastri will get a licence to fire on the advisory committee, especially Sourav Ganguly.
