BCCI to conduct strength and conditioning camp for India A players

India A team which is scheduled to travel to Australia next month will undergo strength and conditioning camp in National Cricket Academy (NCA) at Bengaluru from July 12 to July 17. India A is scheduled to play a Tri-series in Australia followed by two four-day unofficial matches against Australia A.
The BCCI has planned to organise camp with a sole purpose to prepare the team for the upcoming tour. The camp will help players to get much-needed training before the tour.
The coach of India A team Rahul Dravid will also be a part of the camp to provide guidance to the players.
BCCI also announced officials for the camp who will train the India A boys. Mr. Yogesh Parmar will be the physiotherapist; Anand Date has been given the responsibility of trainer in conjunction with NCA chief physiotherapist, Andrew Leipus and NCA trainer Rajinikanth.
Last week the India A boys were part of the camp which was attended by the boys of Indian team who left for the West Indies tour last week. We saw India A boys actively taking part in activities performed by the senior boys.
The India A team consists of some strong players that have an opportunity to present their case on Aussie soil so as to get selected in the Indian team. Naman Ojha, the captain of India A has best opportunity to perform there and get selected for the Indian team. Other players like Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Barinder Sran, Sanju Samson etc all have the opportunity to perform there and strengthen their case for selection in the Indian team as the Indian team is set to play a long home season after the West Indies series.
