BCCI Confirms Unavailability Of Certain Players During IPL 10

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the unavailability of certain players in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The BCCI has confirmed that Virat Kohli will be under going a rehabilitation camp and his availability for the tournament will be determined in the second week of April.

Kohli suffered a shoulder injury during the Ranchi Test against Australia and further missed the following Test in Dharamsala.

The Board has also confirmed that KL Rahul will miss the T20 league and will undergo a shoulder surgery in London. Ravichandran Ashwin, Murali Vijay will also give T20 league a miss, the board further confirmed. Though the news regarding all the players were known earlier, but an official word from BCCI was awaited.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya have been deemed fit to participate in IPL. Rohit, who injured himself during fifth and final ODI against New Zealand made a return to List A cricket last month but went on to miss Deodhar Trophy due to a minor knee injury.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, who was a part of Test series against Australia was ruled out mid-way due to a niggle in his shoulder.

The Board also confirmed that Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and pacer Umesh Yadav have been advised rest and will not be available for the first two matches.
