BCCI Donates INR 51 Crore To PM-CARES Fund
Star India has requested BCCI to show more political and religious advertisements during IPL.

On Saturday (28th March), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced to donate INR 51 crore to protect the Indian citizens from the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus.

At present, coronavirus is dominating the world. With the time progress, many countries are suffering due to this new virus. While more than 600,000 coronavirus cases have already been reported globally, more than 28,000 deaths have been reported due to this virus. Many countries are battling to handle the situation as the global tensions are increasing consistently due to the continuous affected and death news. To battle against this, many countries have decided to go through the lockdown process as there is no other better option.

India is also suffering from this similar issue. While more than 900 people have been affected in the coronavirus cases in India, a total of 19 deaths have been reported. The Indian government have already taken bold steps in the very initial period. At present, the country is going through the complete lockdown process. Many people have been affected due to the present condition.

Now, the Indian government have appealed to the Indian citizens to donate to Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES Fund), which can help the country to battle against coronavirus by protecting the affected people.

Many Indian celebrities have already come to the front to help the affected people in various ways. Now, the BCCI, along with the affiliated state associations, has announced to donate INR 51 crore to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund).

Earlier, some Indian cricketers have already been reported to donate money or other essential things in this critical situation of the country. Some of these cricketers are Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan etc.
