The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) new interim boss Rahul Johri has urged the state associations to submit a list of all new office bearers, who be holding the positions in future, considering the filters put in by the Supreme Court of India to dismiss the ineligible.
The landmark decision to remove Anurag Thakur and Ajay Shirke as the BCCI’s President and honorary secretary respectively from their post came on January 2nd, after which the implementations of the Lodha Panel recommendations came into action, with many of the associations abide the suggestions of the committee.
With many office-bearers will be loaded off from their positions now, Johri has now emailed to the associations asking them to work and pen down the names as per the directions from the Lodha committee to avoid any more conflict of interest in the board.
As reported earlier, an unofficial meeting between the retired and suspended members of BCCI took place in Bangalore on Saturday to discuss the future course of action. Perhaps, to outrun any of their plans against the Lodha Panel, BCCI is leaving now stone unturn.
Anil Divan, by January 19th, is expected to announce the replacement and new president of BCCI.
