It is no secret that the BCCI is one of the richest sports league in the world. That is the reason why almost every board in the world waits for a tour from the Indian team which will in-turn help them earn revenues in the long run.
However the BCCI is not ready to lend any share of the profits to associate nations who are looking to cash in the craze for the sport in the nation. The Afghanistan cricket board has officially requested the BCCI to lend the Feroz Shah Kotla to the Afghan board so that they can play their home matches at Delhi.
The game development manager of the BCCI refused to comment on the status of this agreement and said that this issue was not up for discussion with the media as yet.
The ACB are planning to lease a ground in the nation where they can play their international cricket and are hoping that Ashraf Ghani the president of the ACB will be able to settle the matter during his tour to India in the coming week.
The ACB who currently use the Sharjah ground in UAE have expressed that they would like to lease the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi which was the same settlement they were looking for in 2013. Among other matters that Ghani will take up during his tour, including Afghan internationals in the next season’s IPL will be another important matter to discuss.
